Beautiful & Useful Items From The Past

Specializing in Depression glass, elegant glass, and English dinnerware.

Welcome! I’m Maggie.

My love of collecting antique and vintage items began over fifty years ago.

What started as an interest in Depression Era glassware quickly led to a passion for all types of glassware and dinnerware — and a career as an antiques dealer in New Hampshire for two decades.

After moving to South Carolina in 2008 with my husband Brent, now a retired U.S. Navy officer, my collection of treasures continued to grow to the point that our car could no longer fit in our garage … even though I was no longer actively selling.

One day, he exasperatedly exclaimed, “Either this stuff goes, or I do!”

Uh oh … time to get serious!

And just like that, I was back in business …

“Mom Had That” is born

With the “mandate” from Brent to pare down my treasure hoard so he didn’t have to park on the lawn, I decided to get a booth at the legendary Pickers Hullabaloo, a quarterly flea market in North Charleston.

Hmmmm … but what to call my newly revived business?

With my best friend Jackie, I set up shop at our first Pickers Hullabaloo, where we heard multiple exclamations of, “Mom had that!” as eager shoppers snapped up our wares.

(Name for my business … CHECK!)

Mom Had That is officially in business — and you can meet me (and Jackie, who is the “numbers” gal and my right-hand woman) in person at the Pickers Hullabaloo, or wherever we happen to be next.

When I'm not out searching for fresh merchandise, I can most likely be found volunteering at local public gardens around Charleston, South Carolina, working in my own garden, or spending time with my four beloved grands.

Summers are spent "upta camp" at our cozy lakeside cottage in Maine — and (of course!) squirreling away more treasures to sell at live events, or on eBay (where I sell as “ohmaine”).

And, yes … Brent loads up those rare and unique treasures I find in Maine, and drives them all the way to South Carolina — as long as I promise they won’t crowd his car out of the garage!

So … if you’d love to help me keep his parking spot clear, be sure to shop with me soon, and see what you can find to make you say …
